The Web Snippet Widget embeds external web content.
Description
Section titled “Description”Brings the rest of the web into your dashboard using an iframe. Great for displaying content that doesn’t have a native Home Assistant integration.
Key Features
Section titled “Key Features”- Embed URL: Display any website (that allows iframe embedding).
- Proxy Support: Optional built-in proxy to bypass CORS restrictions or mixed-content (HTTP vs HTTPS) issues.
- Auto-Refresh: Reload the page at a set interval.
- Preloading: Load the URL in the background to ensure it’s ready when viewed.

Section titled “Source”- URL: The web address to display.
Network
Section titled “Network”- Proxy:
- None: Direct iframe.
- Web: Use the dashboard’s backend proxy (helpful for some CORS issues).
- Image: Optimized for image/camera streams via proxy.

Section titled “Use Cases”- Weather Radar: Embed a local news weather map.
- Traffic Map: Google Maps or Waze embed.
- Stock Ticker: External financial dashboard.
- Router Stats: Embed the admin page of a network device.
