History Graph Widget
The History Graph Widget allows you to visualize the state history of one or more sensors over time.
Description
Section titled “Description”Similar to the default Home Assistant history graph, this widget plots numeric values on a timeline. It supports multiple entities, custom colors, and various chart styles (Line vs. Area).
Key Features
Section titled “Key Features”- Multi-Entity: Plot multiple sensors on the same chart to compare trends (e.g., Temperature vs Humidity vs Setpoint).
- Chart Styles:
- Line: Classic line chart.
- Area: Filled area under the line with gradient support.
- Interpolation:
- Monotone: Smooth curves.
- Step: Digital/square waves (good for binary states or heating modes).
- Linear: Straight lines between points.
- Axes Control: Toggle X/Y axes, grid lines, and legends.
Configuration
Section titled “Configuration”- Entities: Add a list of entities to plot.
- Color: Assign a specific color to each entity.
- Attribute: Plot the state (default) or a specific numeric attribute.
- Time Range: How many hours of history to show (e.g., 24h, 48h).
Visuals
Section titled “Visuals”- Line Width: Adjust stroke thickness.
- Area Opacity: For area charts, control the transparency of the fill.
- Legend: Show keys for each entity at the top.
- Axes: Customize or hide the Y-axis label and X-axis time format.
Use Cases
Section titled “Use Cases”- Climate Monitoring: Temperature and Humidity over the last 24 hours.
- Energy Usage: Power consumption (W) over the day.
- Network Stats: Internet download/upload speed.
