Connection Monitor Widget
The Connection Monitor Widget acts as a status indicator for external services.
Description
Section titled “Description”A simple but vital widget for reliability. It shows the connection status of your Home Assistant instances.
Key Features
Section titled “Key Features”- Status Indicator: Colored dot representing state:
- Green: Connected.
- Amber: Connecting.
- Red: Disconnected/Error.
- One-Click Reconnect: Tapping the widget attempts to force a reconnection if disconnected.
- Multi-Instance: Can monitor secondary Home Assistant connections if you have a multi-server setup.
Configuration
Section titled “Configuration”Source
Section titled “Source”- Instance: Select the specific connection to monitor.
Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”- Colors: Override the default Green/Amber/Red colors.
- Labels: Show or hide the instance name (e.g., “Production HA”).
Use Cases
Section titled “Use Cases”- Dashboard Health: Place in the corner of a settings page to ensure everything is online.
