Entity Value Widget
The Entity Value Widget is the universal way to display raw data.
Description
Section titled “Description”When you just need to see the number, text, or state of an entity without any extra flair, this is the widget. It handles sensors, input numbers, binary sensors, and more.
Key Features
Section titled “Key Features”- Universal Display: Shows the state of any entity.
- Transforms:
- Text Case: Uppercase, Lowercase, Title Case.
- Number Formatting: Decimals, multipliers.
- Units: Automatically appends the unit of measurement (e.g., “°C”, “%”) or allows a custom one.
- Auto-Hide: Can hide itself if the value matches a certain condition (e.g., hide “Alert” text if there are no alerts).
Configuration
Section titled “Configuration”- Entity: The source entity.
- Attribute: (Optional) Display a specific attribute instead of the main state.
Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”- Typography: Complete control over font family, size, weight, and color.
- Alignment: Left, Center, or Right text alignment.
- Conditional Styling: Change color based on value (e.g., Red if temperature > 30).
Use Cases
Section titled “Use Cases”- Sensor Readings: Temperature, Humidity, Power Usage.
- Status Text: “Front Door is Open”.
- Counters: “3 Lights On”.
