Placeholder Widget
The Placeholder Widget is primarily used during the design phase of a dashboard. It serves as a visual marker to reserve space for future widgets or to plan layouts without needing to configure specific functionality immediately.
Description
Section titled “Description”This widget displays a dashed box with a “Placeholder” label. It allows you to block out areas on your dashboard grid, helping you visualize the layout before populating it with functional widgets.
Key Features
Section titled “Key Features”- Visual Marker: distinct dashed border and minimal design.
- Customizable Dimensions: Can be resized to fit any grid area.
- Display Name: You can set a custom display name to indicate what the placeholder is reserving space for (e.g., “Future Camera Feed”).
Configuration

Section titled “General Settings”- Position & Size: Adjust x, y coordinates, width, and height.
- Rotation & Flip: Rotate the widget or flip it horizontally/vertically.
- Radius: Adjust the corner radius.
Specific Settings
Section titled “Specific Settings”- Custom Display Name: Set a name to be clear about the intended use of the space.
