Garage Door Widget
The Garage Door Widget provides a visual and interactive representation of a garage door.
Description
Section titled “Description”A specialized widget that visually depicts a garage door’s state. It animates to show the door opening and closing, providing immediate visual feedback.
Key Features
Section titled “Key Features”- Visual State:
- Closed: Shows a fully closed door panel.
- Open: Shows the door retracted/open.
- Animation: Smooth CSS transition when state changes.
- One-Touch Control: Tap the widget to toggle the door (Open -> Close, Close -> Open).
Configuration
Section titled “Configuration”- Entity: Select a
coverentity (must be a garage door class for best logic, but works with any cover).
Behavior
Section titled “Behavior”- Animation Speed: Adjust how long the open/close animation takes (in seconds).
- Service Calls: Automatically maps click to
cover.open_coverorcover.close_coverbased on current state.
Use Cases
Section titled “Use Cases”- Driveway Dashboard: Quick access to open the garage when arriving home.
- Security Check: Visual confirmation that the door is closed at night.
