Slider Widget

The Slider Widget provides analog control for numeric entities.

Description

A generic slider that can control anything from volume to cover position to input numbers. It’s flexible and supports custom ranges.

Key Features

• Generic Support: Works with light (brightness), media_player (volume), cover (position), fan (speed), and input_number.
• Custom Range: Define Min/Max and Step size (e.g., 0 to 100 or 15 to 30).
• Orientation: Supports vertical or horizontal layouts automatically based on widget aspect ratio.

Data

• Entity: Select the entity to control.
• Attribute: (Optional) Specific attribute path if not standard (e.g., attributes.tilt_position).

Appearance

• Colors: Customize Track, Bar, and Thumb colors.
• Thumb: Show or hide the draggable handle.

Use Cases

• Volume: Master volume control for a media player.
• Blinds: Set window blinds to exactly 50%.
• Thermostat: Adjust target temperature (via input_number helper).
